Chichester cathedral
Standing proudly just along the coast from Portsmouth, Chichester Cathedral has been at the heart of the city for more than 900 years. Renowned for it’s striking architecture, soaring spire, and peaceful surroundings, it remains one of southern England’s most iconic and inspiring places to visit. Footage featured in this video has been broadcast on Channel 5 TV's Sussex: Jewel of the South Coast.
The People’s Memorial
Located at Milton Common overlooking Langstone Harbour, the People’s Memorial was created in 2009 by local resident Willie Goldfinch. It honours members of the British Armed Forces who served on overseas operations, particularly those who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. With its memorial cairn, flags and benches, it provides a peaceful place to remember and reflect, while overlooking the beautiful waters of Langstone Harbour.
Southsea - A New Chapter
Southsea has always been one of Portsmouth’s most iconic places, with its sweeping Common, historic Southsea Castle, famous piers and the Solent stretching beyond. For some time, parts of the seafront had begun to look tired, but recent improvements are giving this much-loved coastline a fresh new lease of life. Blending its rich maritime heritage with a renewed, welcoming appearance, Southsea Seafront continues to be a special place for residents, visitors and photographers alike.
